  • SIP-based VoIP allowing users to identify and connect to each other, when the actual voice packets begin to flow, these voice packets can go directly from source to destination without needing to go an intermediate server. Here once the voice packets begin to flow, any instability in that intermediate server will not cause the voice flow to fail. This results in both performance and robustness of the application.
  • Interpersonal communication applications of VMukti make effective use of central servers to allow users to locate each other. It also makes effective use of P2P (peer-to-peer) communication in support of the actual communication. This enables application’s flexibility and allows for high performance.
  • IPv6 is likely to be important internationally.
